Description: This data set contains annotation for the length of both straight and curved segments that comprise the boundaries of lots or sections. It also contains the radii of curves. All data is from the surveyed lines on the recorded plats. It does not come from the lengths of lines in the parcel data set. The annotation was originally created using CAD software to produce paper tax maps at three different scales. When the data was merged into Arc/Info coverages, the original text sizes were retained. As new data is added, the text is sized to approximately match the adjacent existing text with the goal of making it visible at an appropriate “zoom level.” Where more detail is added, as in the case of a new subdivision, smaller text that approximates one of the original text sizes is used. When the data is processed for use in the GIS, the LotDimensions feature class is copied to a feature class named ParcelAnno in several other locations.
